In Nevers, in the Nièvre, the maternity unit is mobilizing against the glaring lack of staff. After a temporary closure where only emergencies were provided, the health reserve was called to see the service open again.

The young parents of Lison are relieved, the birth of their child was finally able to take place in the maternity hospital of Nevers (Nievre). After the successive departure of ten midwives, the service had to close its doors, providing only emergencies. As during the Covid crisis, the health reserve was called in to help compensate for the various departures. Its members are rather surprised to go to the Nièvre. These eight midwives and five nurses are more used to going to the DROMs.

Six nurses were recruited before the end of the health reserve mission. To attract new members to his team, the director offers advantageous conditions. With accommodation for nine months, immediate tenure and a higher salary that the average, the maternity ward intends to recruit at least four others midwives.
