Starting drink this Thursday evening at Matignon. John Castex brought together all the ministers, secretaries of state and their spouses for a farewell dinner while the Prime Minister must submit his resignation to the President of the Republic no later than Monday.
During this evening, described as relaxed and convivial by several participants, the members of the government offered a nice gift to the one who was their leader for nearly two years: a jersey of the French rugby team flocked with his name and signed by the entire government. A jersey with the number 9, in reference to his favorite rugby player, scrum half Antoine Dupont.
For the record, it’s Sarah El Haïry from Nantes, secretary of state in charge of youth who was chosen to give Jean Castex his gift.
