Forty years after its opening, Sainte-Croix Animal Park is today the 1st European Fauna Park in Franceboth for its attendance (3 million visitors since 1980 – record attendance in 2019 with more than 350,000 visitors) and for its pioneering role in this field.

The European Ecolabel guarantees that the Animal Parkas a place of exceptional natural stays, actively contributes to the use of renewable energy sources, water and energy savings, and the protection of biodiversity. Since 2019, the nature lodges and restaurants of the Park have been certified by the European Ecolabel “Tourist accommodation services”. The new accommodations facing deer and wolves are also designed with the aim of meeting the environmental requirements that Sainte-Croix has set itself.

The Parc Animalier de Sainte-Croix and its ecosystem have been committed to nature for 42 years. This bias in favor of biodiversity is also available with the support of various organizations dedicated to conservation, the organization of events on purpose: raise public awareness of the environmental cause.

Sainte-Croix is animals… but not only! In effect, the Animal Park is developing an innovative market gardening project with 1600 m² of crops. This space dedicated to organic and regional cultures is also a place of education and mediation in the heart of the Park.. In a logic of short circuit, these crops are used in particular to supply the new restaurant with fresh foodstuffs. Always in the idea of reconnect people to the earththis agricultural project is also the ideal way to make visitors aware of the need to rediscover “farmer’s common sense”.

To extend your visit, 46 Nature Lodges allow you to live a unique experience: sleep in the heart of a large animal park close to wild animals.
Installed on stilts, feet in the water facing the great plain populated by American bison and black bears, the 17 lodges of the Rivière de l’Ours Noir can each accommodate 5 people.
