From May 14 to October 2, 2022, the 6th edition of lille3000, Utopia, is everywhere in the European Metropolis of Lille, the Eurometropolis and the Hauts-de-France Region. The opening ceremony takes place on Saturday 14 May. Discover the program and follow the parade in pictures.
Lille 3000 offers you its sixth edition “Utopia“. In 2019 lhe fifth edition, Eldorado, attracted more than 2.5 million spectators. The big Eldorado parade alone conquered 350,000 visitors.
In 2022, Utopia gives you an appointment in the European metropolis of Lille, the Eurometropolis and the Hauts-de-France Region.
” Utopia is a Greek neologism formed by the English writer Thomas More which usually designates a non-existent or inaccessible ideal. At a time of climate change and environmental issues, Utopia will focus on the links that unite humans with the living.
Of May 14 to October 02, 2022a outstanding program with exhibitions, urban metamorphoses, participatory projects, conferences but also one of the novelties of the 2022 edition : Les Caps, hikes to discover artistic proposals in sometimes unknown places in Lille and the region.
Opening party Utopia Lille 3000
The big one opening party takes place on Saturday May 14 2022. Through the city, discover the Stations, immersive and participatory artistic proposals.
The highlight of this festive day: the grand parade to be continued from 7:30 p.m. with decorated floats, dancers, huge inflatables, musicians, giants. The parade will end under the lights of a large fireworks at the Champs de Mars Esplanade.

The parade begins at 7:30 p.m. and will affect all traffic in the city. Listen France Blue North to be notified of difficulties and recommended routes.
The stations :
Station 1: Fashion & urban dance. Of noon to 7 p.m., place François Mitterrand, Lille. Dance initiation workshops (Hip-hop, Voguing, Waacking, etc.), performance shows (Esmod, Welcom(e)) or even a giant thrift store and a market for young ethical designers. The Urban Fashion & Dance Station will invite the public to fully immerse themselves in this great mix of genres and disciplines.
Station 2: Opera. Of noon to midnight, theater square, Lille. In a festive and family atmosphere, children’s choir, band or world music concert, the heart of the Place du Théâtre will resonate from noon to midnight to the rhythm of the musicians and their instruments.
Station 3: Alice in Wonderland. Of 2 p.m. to midnight, Grand Place, Lille. Between extravagance and luxuriant nature, this emblematic place of Lille will disappear for a day, giving way to the growth of giant mushrooms and titanic vines. In this fantastic atmosphere, Le Grand Bal d’Alice will invite its participants to dance at the heart of this magical aesthetic.
