Young Thug was arrested by the FBI Monday in Atlanta on charges including involvement in street gang activity and conspiring to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).

A larger police maneuver sought to indict 28 members and associates of Young Thug’s record company, YSL, all also charged with conspiring to break RICO law. The indictment contains a total of 56 counts. Young Thug and rapper Gunna also face charges of armed robbery, assault, possession of drugs and firearms.

Young Thug headlined the opening day of the Métro Métro festival. Joined by The Press, the organizer of the event, Olivier Primeau, says that the rapper will soon be replaced by another artist. “We have 2-3 tracks,” he said. In fact, we could sign another big headliner today, but we’re waiting a bit. »

This unforeseen event is “complicated to manage”, another pitfall after a two-year hiatus and a setback imposed by the Omicron variant during the organization of the upcoming edition. But a little less than two weeks before the launch of Metro Metro, the big boss of the Beachclub finds that the situation arises early enough to find a solution.
