The socialist party of Corrèze will not ultimately play the troublemakers in the legislative elections. The federation of the PS 19 met this Tuesday evening and despite a deep disagreement with the union of the left behind the Insoumis, the Corrèze socialists decided to abide by this agreement.
Thus, Pascal Cavitte on the 1st constituency and Paul Roche, on the 2nd, will not file their candidacy. But,“this decision does not constitute support for the candidates invested by the Nupes in Corrèze, who are responsible for organizing and running their own campaign”can we read in a press release published at the end of the Federal Council.
On France Bleu Limousin this morning, Paul Roche, also first federal secretary, insists on the deep disagreements with the party of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, particularly on the European question: “These are not simple programmatic differences, which can be sold off by some apparatchiks of the socialist party, of the national leadership. The distribution of constituencies does not take into account the territorial establishment of the PS.”
There remains the question of the candidacy of Francois Hollandeformer President of the Republic and former deputy of the 1st constituency of Corrèze? “We will see when the time comes which left-wing candidates will be on the starting line on June 12. François Hollande will have to say what he wants to do in the coming days”concludes Paul Roche.
