Alexandra (Koh-Lanta) eliminated: the truth behind her vote against Namadia (EXCLUDED)

After leaving the camp during a knockout immunity test, Alexandra found herself on the Island of the Outcast. On site, the flagship adventurer of Koh Lanta, already winner of the edition of 4 Lands in 2020, beat Clémence and Coumba. This Tuesday, November 9, 2021, she faces Christelle – Teheiura being excluded because of cheating – and loses! Alexandra is therefore eliminated from this Koh-Lanta, La Légende! In an interview for Purepeople.com, she looks back on her adventure. Her elimination, her vote against Namadia, the place of social networks in the game, the critics … She gives herself up.

How do you feel when you are eliminated from Christelle?

It was frustrating to lose this clash. Already because it’s a puzzle and it was a bit my thing on Les 4 Terres. And then, after my victory against Clémence and Coumba where I had given myself a lot, I find it such a shame to lose like that … But that’s the game!

Why do you think you lost this duel?

Maybe Christelle was so crazy after her elimination, and that after three days on the island of the banished I was maybe a little asleep … Also, knowing that puzzles are my thing. did not help. I may have rested a bit on my laurels. I was not reactive at first, I lost precious seconds. Christelle was incredibly fast, I can only respect her victory.

Before arriving on the Island of the Outcast, you left the game losing a knockout round. How did you experience it?

It was hard. But after I left on tests and not on advice, I can only blame myself. I have never been eliminated from a board. Even if we can try to defend ourselves strategically and get by during a council, it is not easy.

If you hadn’t been eliminated then, you might have been in danger on the board after your vote against Namadia … Do you understand how the other candidates felt when she was eliminated?

I understand the fact that they are sorry that their friend is leaving. On the other hand, I find it difficult to understand that they do not understand that I did this only to defend myself. Clémence, Alix and I were targeted. I was supposed to be red. When we learned that an alliance had been set up without us, we were forced to find a way to just defend ourselves. I liked Namadia, so this vote against him pained me. I have said it over and over again. But I was not in alliance with him: he voted against my ally Alix and in addition we had said to ourselves that we would protect the ex-reds. And then Namadia did not let me know of her intention to vote against Alix, so a red one. Clearly in the strategy, he was turning his back on me. Even if he was able to defend me a little, the fact of voting against my ally without telling me that remains half a betrayal for me. I was surprised. We had to react quickly and find a solution. It doesn’t go any further than that, and it’s still a game. I got along well with Namadia as with many others.

Clémence said that she initially proposed to vote against Claude, but Alix and you would have refused. Why ?

Because Claude had no voice against him, quite simply. We would have had only three votes. In Koh Lanta, a voice matters a lot. Because I, personally, was closer to Namadia than to Claude. Afterwards also I admire the performances of Claude, he is very deserving. This is not the first against whom I want to vote. I’m not the type to vote against the strongest, I prefer to fight against them. If Claude had a voice against him, we might have been able to vote against him. Just like Teheiura or another.

Some have raised the idea that, perhaps, you refused to vote against Claude for fear of attacks on social networks …

We have to stop with that. Personally, I hate to hear that kind of nonsense. When I left to do Koh Lanta, I told myself that I was going to live my adventure to the full, make the choices I want. There are always haters in any event. But I’m not going to be careful what I do or say because of social media. I voted during the adventure against people who have large communities. I don’t understand this way of thinking. I still have enough value and an education that makes me able to know what I want or not in the game. On the spot, we have enough problems to manage to think about social networks. On the other hand, I repeat, Claude is extremely deserving on the tests and on the camp. He is impressive. I had no reason to vote against him. There, it was just a matter of the number of votes.

During your first adventure, you suffered from criticism. How did you prepare this time?

I learned a lot with Koh Lanta. I am fulfilled, I manage to speak better, I have more self-confidence, it has brought me a lot of things. I expressed myself through hardship, I learned to live in a group, to assert myself in survival. The message I wanted to convey is that with determination we can go far. So when I receive criticism on the superficial, especially on my physique, I find it so futile. But production prepares us for it, we know that there will always be haters. But I find malice not normal. Criticizing a woman because she has hair under her arms is nonsense, but it comes from society.

Your feet have been the target of attacks, you have treated them since! Where are you today?

I decided to take responsibility. I did onychoplasty, they are resins. And in fact, there are a lot of people who have the same thing as me and have written to me. It’s been a hassle for years. So it gets better, then it doesn’t go well and so on. So I share all that a bit, my faults as well as my qualities, when I am very prepared or not at all … I have a lot of judgment on this. I remember that Internet users did not find me as pretty on television as in some photos posted on social networks. While that remains me, I do not understand where there is debate. I have not done Koh Lanta to be pretty. These are prejudices, like when they say that I am naive, limp and so on when I can perform on an event just behind. It annoys me. It was hard at first to have some criticism on my feet, but I decided to come to terms with myself. I show when it’s going, when it’s going less. And it helps me a lot in everyday life. I was shy and reserved, I open up a bit.

Who do you think will win Koh-Lanta, The Legend ?

Me, I adore my friend Alix and Loïc, met in The 4 Lands ! I hope one of the two will win.
