For his first feature film as a director, François Uzan has decided to tell the story of Thierry who spends his days classify family photosconvinced that the best is behind him.
But when Claire, his wife, announces that she is leaving him, Thierry, devastated, offers to redo “Greece 98”, their best family vacation. Officially, he wants to spend one last week with their children before announcing the separation to them. Unofficially, he hopes to win back his wife!
By trying to rekindle the flame of his couple, Thierry will set fire to his family…
At the heart of the story, there is obviously the couple formed by Claire and Thierry Hamelin, the parents, embodied by Pascale Arbillot and Jacques Gamblin who are a little at the end of their course, but François Uzan also wanted to give the floor to the children, to talk about what we live at that age, this need to surpass ourselves and to mourn certain things.. .
So each of the 5 characters (the mother, the father, the son, the daughter and the son-in-law) will know his little trip (literally and figuratively) from which all will come back a little changed…
