21 years after their last title, FC Nantes celebrated its victory and its fourth Coupe de France this Sunday, May 8, with their supporters, all dressed in green and yellow.
FC Nantes won the French Football Cup on Saturday May 7. The winners were celebrated in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), Sunday May 8, in front of a crowd in yellow and green. Coach Antoine Kombouaré and his players were awaited by jubilant supporters. Ludovic Blas, author of the decisive goal on Saturday evening against Nice (1-0), presented the Cup to the public. “We are all really very happy and it’s not over yet”assures Sébastien Corchia, defender of FC Nantes.
During the match, Nantes supporters gathered around a giant screen. At the start of the second half, a penalty allowed FC Nantes to lead against OGC Nice. With this goal, Nantes wins its fourth Coupe de France. “It’s thanks to the supporters too, they pushed us a lot”says Jean-Kévin Augustin, striker of FC Nantes. “The people of Nantes, as usual, they were on top”adds another player.
