Stade Lavallois coach Olivier Frapolli in the spotlight

The players and coaches of the National Championship met in Clairefontaine, at the National Football Center for the presentation of the end-of-season trophies.

Reveal of the season

No trophy for the Laval midfielder, Julien Maggiotti the team’s best passer. It was midfielder Godson Kyeremeh of FC Annecy who was elected.

Best goalkeeper

Vincent Viot (US Concarneau) was voted best goalkeeper of the season. Laval residents Alexis Sauvage was one of the three named along with Pierre Patron (Le Mans FC)

best trainer

The coach of Stade Lavallois, Olivier Frapolli was voted National’s best coach by winning the most votes against Laurent Guyot (FC Annecy) and Stéphane Le Mignan (US Concarneau). “This season has been an incredible human adventure“said the Mayenne coach who dedicated this trophy to his staff and who wanted to pay tribute to all National coaches.

Best player

It is striker Fahd El Khoumisti (US Concarneau) who is voted National’s best player for the 2021/2022 season. He was in competition with Laval’s top scorer, Geoffray Durbant and the former Laval resident, Thomas Robinet (Berrichone de Châteauroux).

In the typical National team, there are several Laval residents: the defender Bryan Goncalves(best player of the month for December), the holding midfielder jimmy roye and attacking midfielder Julian Maggiotti.
