In its battle against Apple and Google, which has made it very difficult to play Fortnite on a mobile device, Epic Games received significant support from Microsoft this week.

Fans can now very easily, and for free, open this game with a web browser on almost any platform, simply by going to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service. All you need is a Microsoft username. We were able to open Fortnite and play it on Mac, iPhone and Google Pixel with no problem. This is the first free game offered on this platform, and Canada is one of 26 countries to take advantage of its beta version right now.

The main flaw of Amazon’s Kindle e-readers is their incompatibility with the most popular digital book format, ePub. A small change in the Kindle section, first noted by the GoodEReader site, has revived hopes that these readers will finally accept this format, even opening the door to the possibility of downloading protected ePub books borrowed from the library. The reality is more modest: at the end of 2022, we will be able to email books in ePub format to a Kindle, but they will be converted to Amazon’s home format, AZW3. However, this is the first opening in 15 years for this format, giving hope for total compatibility. Amazon did not react to this news.

Phishing

According to Cisco’s 2021 Cybersecurity Report, phishing is the method used in 90% of recorded breaches worldwide. This is one of the simplest methods that uses the weak link in IT, the user, from whom information is extracted by pretending to be a legitimate interlocutor. The firm Zscaler, reports AtlasVPN, has drawn up a composite portrait of the identities most often impersonated for this fraud. In the lead, at 36.6%, we find Microsoft, with its products like OneDrive and Outlook and its Windows operating system used by three out of four computers. Cyber-fraudsters also lure their victims with promises of illegal, and therefore cheaper, services of streaming music or live video.
