More than 400 motorcyclists converged during the day on the den of the South chapter, in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, to have a party which should last all weekend, on the occasion of the First Run. This is a mandatory activity for all Hells members in good standing.

Around 2 p.m., an impressive procession of around 150 motorbikes arrived at the same time. It was something of a show of strength by the group, as authorities have been raiding and arresting their own over the past few weeks.

All individuals going to the rally, the first of this scale since 2019, were systematically intercepted by the police. They had to comply with an identity check, then a mechanical verification of their machine.

Without hanging

The latter complied without much reluctance, except that the majority had to wait for more than an hour before being able to access the checkpoint, then the site of the festivities on a property of the 4th Rang. Several large white capitals had been erected there to welcome the guests.

According to our information, 430 statements of offence, mainly related to the Highway Safety Code, were handed over during this operation, where intelligence agents also took the opportunity to renew their photo album.

The motorcycle of a member of the Hells of Saskatchewan was also seized by the officers since he had not paid a Quebec ticket dating from 2018.

In addition to the Sûreté du Québec, officers from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal and the Service de police de Laval were present.

Several groups present

Members of all chapters of the Hells Angels in Quebec were present, but also from other provinces such as Ontario, Saskatchewan and New Brunswick.

According to what was possible to see, about thirty groups of bikers, either Hells school clubs or supporters, showed up for the party, such as the Red Devils, the Dark Soul’s, the Devil Ones , the Death Messengers. The Montreal Jackals have been sighted for the very first time by authorities.

Two new “full patches”

The Hells Angels also took advantage of their first motorcycle parade of the year to welcome two new members in good standing to their ranks.

They are Luc Bordeleau, from the Trois-Rivières chapter, and Vincent Lauzon, from the Sherbrooke chapter.

Back in the days of the Biker Wars, Bordeleau had been a prospect for the defunct Nomads chapter, according to various court rulings. He also had ties to his affiliate club the Rockers.

It was also possible to see Gregory Woolley, already described by the police as the “godfather” of street gangs in Montreal. This ex-Rockers, close to Maurice “Mom” Boucher, is considered to be still very influential.
