A team from France Télévisions was able to go to a front line in Ukraine, which designate these zones of terror and death where the fighting takes place almost hand-to-hand.
“We wanted to know what it meant to hold the front lines in this war from another age”explains journalist Agnès Vahramyan. The incursion took place with a soldier in the forest of Donbass. On the sand road, there is a wreck of a Russian tank, evidence of a repulsed assault. “MeI approach the enemy lines. Sometimes I even hear them talking. I spot their position”testifies a Ukrainian soldier. A commander posted in the trench awaits equipment.
In the trench it is very difficult to see, but noises are heard. The commander claims to have had two deaths the day before. On the way back, the mines placed by the Ukrainians are visible. The Ukrainian soldier delivers walkie-talkies to the soldiers, but these do not work. Holding the position consists of listening to the noises around you.
