That the emotion was intense for Dadju, surrounded by his loved ones, this Thursday for the preview ofImaa very personal feature film where the singer interprets his own role in the setting of his childhood: the city of Kinshasa.
Dadju was the king of the evening, or rather the prince as his official nickname would have it. The singer was, indeed, eagerly awaited at the Gaumont Champs-Élysées this Thursday for the presentation of the film by Nils Tavernier, Ima. Spectators were able to discover him in a white suit with colored effects. The singer-actor, who has just become a father for the third time, was joined by his brother, Darcy Djunaon the photo call dressed all in black as well as by his mother Dalida, who appeared resplendent in an orange suit. Her co-star Karidja Touré was also greatly noticed in a stunning dress. Indeed, the other star of the evening had opted for a short black dress with shoulder pads. The two headliners notably posed together alongside director Nils Tavernier, in a black suit and blue shirt. Finally, the evening was an opportunity to see many personalities parade in front of the goals, starting with the PSG footballers Presnel Kimpembe and Idrissa Gueye or the rapper French (see slideshow).
On Tuesday, May 10, the film will be screened in preview everywhere in France, and will be followed by an exclusive showcase for cinemas in which Dadju will perform for the first time the songs from the film included in his album. The lucky ones will be able to benefit from his talent after having discovered a film that they are not about to forget.
And it is from next Wednesday, May 11 that spectators will in turn be able to enjoy, at the cinema, the return of the famous singer to the city of his childhood, Kinshasa, to give a concert. Laetitia, who is one of his biggest fans, dreams of attending this concert event, which is unfortunately sold out. Her father will then use his connections and the young girl will get Dadju to perform a private concert on the property of one of her father’s friends. Because by doing this, he hopes to be able to seduce the sister of Laetitia, the pretty Ima, embodied very precisely by Karidja Touré. But during the concert, it’s another love at first sight that will then take place… between Dadju and the bewitching Ima.
The release of the film is accompanied by the Franco-Congolese’s third album entitled cullinan some titles of which are taken from the feature film. The singer had already unveiled the song Kingthe main title of the film.
