Unity is strength ! The main forces of the left have decided to unite to lead the campaign for the legislative elections. Rebellious, ecologists, communists and socialists will therefore present common candidates in most constituencies under the banner of NUPES (New Popular Ecological and Social Union).
Consequence of this decision: candidates who had already declared themselves must withdraw in favor of this alliance of the left. We take stock of the five constituencies of Berry.
1st constituency of Indre
This is the disappointment for the PS of Indre: they will not have a candidate in the department. For Clément Sapin, it’s disappointment. The socialist declared himself several months ago and was already campaigning on the ground. “This is also the union: to erase oneself personallyreacts the son of Michel Sapin. Tomorrow, it is possible to dream of a national policy guided by social justice, environmental issues and the establishment of a new breath for our democracy”.
On the side of the Communists, Dominique Boué withdraws his candidacy. “It’s not a sacrifice, it’s an act of coming together”, he explains on France Bleu Berry. Europe Ecology the Greens 36 salute “a unitary spirit”. The party had chosen Amélie Dumans, who will have to give up her candidacy in favor of the union.
It is therefore a candidate from rebellious France who will carry the fight of the left in this constituency: Eloise Gonzalez.
2nd constituency of Indre
As in the other Indian constituency, it is rebellious France which presents itself under the banner of the New Popular Ecological and Social Union. The leader of the party in the department, Aymeric Compain, was chosen.
Europe Ecology the Greens planned to present Germain Lefebvre, who is therefore forced to give up. The Socialist Party had made it known that it wanted to invest a woman in this constituency, but had not announced the name of a candidate. For the communists, Stéphanie Grelet
1st constituency of Cher
It is the only constituency in Berry where there will be a socialist candidate. He has not yet been named. Consequence of this agreement: the candidate of rebellious France announces that he gives up running. “It’s a regret because I know this territory well, having lived there and been an activist there for a long time. But that’s the way it issays Yannick Bedin, the now ex-LFI candidate. The logics of apparatuses and agreements sometimes override local anchoring and experiences”.
2nd district of Cher
In this constituency, it is a communist who will lead the battle. Nicolas Sansu, the mayor of Vierzon, has been appointed by the New Popular Ecological and Social Union to lead the battle. “And now in the fight to bring together all our fellow citizens”he reacted in a message on Twitter.
The former deputy (2012-2017) will try to regain his seat in the National Assembly, in particular against the one who succeeded him: Nadia Essayan (Modem), who has just been invested by the presidential majority to try to win a new mandate. The rebellious Pascale Labarre was forced to give up.
3rd district of Cher
In this constituency, it is insubordinate France which will present the common candidate. Alienor Garcia Bosch de Morales was invested by the party.
