On the 11 p.m. set of Franceinfo Thursday, May 5, journalist Madjid Khiat returns to the choice of certain ministers to stand for the next legislative elections. This is particularly the case of Gérald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, but not of Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy.

With the approach of the legislative elections, several ministers will be candidates. On the 23h set of Franceinfo Thursday, May 5, journalist Madjid Khiat indicates that the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, will present himself in the 10th district of the North. “A constituency where Tourcoing is located, the city of which he was mayor for almost four years”, recalls the journalist. He also returns to the decision of other ministers, recalling in particular that Elisabeth Borne, Minister of Labour, will be a candidate in the 6th constituency of Calvados. Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of National Education, Youth and Sports, will present himself in the 4th district of Loiret and Gabriel Attal, government spokesperson, in the 10th district of Hauts-de-Seine.

Majid Khiat indicates that other ministers will not declare themselves candidates during this election. This is the case of Bruno Le Maire, Minister of the Economy, who “will not run for this constituency of Evreux (Eure)”. The Keeper of the Seals, Éric Dupond-Moretti, will not appear either. Minister Delegate in charge of Citizenship, Marlène Schiappa “will not try to be an MP”adds the journalist.
