Russian forces target Ukrainian factories

In eastern Ukraine, seven coal factory workers were killed by a Russian strike on Tuesday (3 May). “We picked up the bodies of our employees under the mortars”, explains a plant engineer. About 500 employees still work in this place bombarded by the Russians. “I live here with my daughter, it’s safer than in town”, says a woman. The factory has several shelters and is the last place with electricity and running water.

The workers continue to maintain the factory’s blast furnaces, which contain flammable and toxic products.
