The Canadiens have signed striker Riley Kidney to a three-year entry contract.

The organization made the announcement in a press release on Wednesday noon.
Kidney, 19, was selected in the second round, 63and overall, by the Habs in the 2021 draft. The Acadie-Bathurst Titan center finished the season seventh in QMJHL scoring with 100 points (30 goals, 70 assists) in 66 matches.
If he plays in the NHL in 2022-23, the forward will earn a salary of $750,000. For the 2023 to 2025 seasons, this amount will be $775,000, in addition to a signing bonus of $92,500 per season. If he plays in the American League instead, the deal will net Kidney $80,000.
