In May, do what you please as the saying goes. So let’s go to the Mediterranean, for a change of scenery, and to believe we’re already on vacation. Spain, Italy, Greece, these are destinations bursting with sunshine and good flavors. In the St Michel district, stop at Place du Séminaire, in Samos, a gourmet embassy of Greek cuisine. Samos is also a small island in the Aegean Sea, very close to Turkey. On the plates: mezes, melitzanosalata (aubergine cream), spanakopita (spinach and feta puff pastry), or the unmissable hummus. You can take the opportunity to taste a classic of Greek street food: the gyros pita. This flat, round bread wrapped around a filling that you can have pork, chicken or falafel.
Yannick Revel: we can underline it, here we find an excellent option for vegetarian gourmands. Accompanied by fresh fries sprinkled with aromatic herbs, the plate is substantial but my mind (almost zero when it comes to eating) makes me accept the proposal for dessert. Too bad for the summer body!
