Amel Bent’s companion, Patrick Antonelli, is again caught in the nets of justice, less than four months after a judgment of the Court of Appeal of Versailles which avoided him the prison. The man, former manager of a driving school – now a sports coach – sentenced for trafficking licenses to personalities, is imprisoned in the Nanterre remand center to serve a fifteen-month prison sentence, announces The Parisian.
This Tuesday, May 3, 2022, Patrick Antonelli was imprisoned in Nanterre in the Hauts-de-Seine, to serve a fifteen-month prison sentence pronounced on March 8 by the criminal court of this same city of Ile-de- France. He was convicted for “to have illegally exercised the profession of security guard because he replaced one day, at short notice, a bodyguard of the singer, judgment scam because he submitted an invoice when he was not licensed to practice, as well asplain scam because he benefited from state aid paid to compensate for the drop in activity during the Covid when he was not entitled to it“, indicates the Ile-de-France daily. A decision which he appealed.
If the truth fell in March, Patrick Antonelli was able to benefit from a postponement due to the imminent delivery of the singer. Indeed, she gave birth to their third child in April 2022 and the baby had to be hospitalized for a few days. The judges then did not issue a warrant of committal which would have immediately taken him to prison, but a deferred deposit mandate, a measure that allows the convicted person to organize himself before being imprisoned. This is why, says the newspaper, “this deferred deposit mandate has been pronounced with provisional execution, which implies that in the event of an appeal, you still have to go through the prison box“. Patrick Antonelli was therefore obliged to report to the penitentiary, even if he appealed as soon as the judgment was pronounced in March.
Patrick Antonelli, 45, was sentenced in July 2020 in the case of permit traffic sold to stars football and the media, with the complicity of agents from the Hauts-de-Seine prefecture. The Nanterre Criminal Court had also issued him with a deferred deposit warrant, but without provisional execution. This time, he is forced to go behind bars.
