20,000 visitors to the Aeroscopia museum during spring break in Toulouse

With its 7,000 m² of tarmac and hangar, the Aeroscopia museum imposes. Opened only seven years ago, it must find a place opposite the Cité de l’espace or the Halle de la machine. Between the planes parked in the hangar, foreign visitors, especially from Spain but also many locals, Toulouse or the region.

Create vocations

We are on the main deck with the glazed floor to see the hold part, and here the cockpit“, describes Vicenta Molinero, Aeroscopia’s promotion manager, in the A380, 73 meters long, and two levels. Léna, 13, is not disappointed: “What I preferred was getting into the planes, seeing the materials, the cockpit with all the buttons. It’s very interesting, especially because my grandfather explains it to me.

The grandfather, Guy spent his entire career in aeronautics, a large part of which Airbus. “It was a calling he saidwhen I was little like them, I bought “Aviation magazine”, without thinking about the future but I was very interested in planes, and I ended up at Airbus.”

20,000 visitors took advantage of the school holidays to come to the Aeroscopia, a satisfactory outcome for the museum. After two years of ups and downs due to the pandemic, the museum hopes to return to its 2019 attendance.
