After 2 years without a festival due to the health crisis, Valence is offering 4 evenings this summer with free concerts for all audiences. Faithful to its philosophy of offering artists whose careers are taking off, the festival also allows young artists, sometimes local, to perform on a large stage, in front of a large audience.
The opening night on Wednesday, July 20 gives pride of place to French song by welcoming Barbara Pravi, recently awarded at the Victoires de la Musique after representing France in the Eurovision Song Contest, the Valentinoise Anne Sila and in the first part Melba, a young Lyonnaise artist, native of the Drôme Valley and who, like Anne Sila, participated in the program The Voice on TF1.
Thursday, July 21, evening called “La French Touch du kiff”, festive atmosphere guaranteed with the DJ collective “Bon Entendeur” which brings up to date old Francophone hits like “L’amour l’amour” once sung by Mouloudji, “The weather is good” by Quebecer Isabelle Pierre or “The time of love” by Françoise Hardy. Bon Ententeur will share the stage with Victor Solf, lead singer of the group HER who marked the French Soul scene ten years ago; with the Swiss Stéphane whose title “Green dream” is a big success; and by the Ardéchois Oscar Les Vacances.
Urban music will be in the spotlight on Friday July 22 with rapper NEMIR, known for his collaborations NEKFEU; Poupie, an amazing artist who made a name for herself on the show The Voice on TF1; and Thaïs Lona, another Valentinoise revelation who is starting to make a name for herself on the Rap-RnB scene in France.
Finally, place for world music and exotic rhythms on Saturday 23 thanks to the presence of Claude Sicre, singer of the group Fabulous Trobadors, Delgres a Creole blues group and the Ardéchois Nicolas Paugam who has just released his 5th album on which appears a title in duet with JP Nataf of the group Les Innocents.
