A month ago, Tom Parker, one of the stars of the British group The Wanted, notably known for the title Glad you came, bowed out. The 33-year-old singer had been battling a brain tumor since 2020. The entertainer was married to Kelsey with whom he had two children, Aurelia, 2, and Bodhi, 1. Devastated by the disappearance of the man in her life, the widow confided in The Sun about the last moments she shared with him.
Hospitalized at St Christopher’s Hospice, not far from their home, Tom Parker was with his wife when he died: “I slept with him. We were in bed together for two hours, I just wanted this moment with him. I didn’t want anyone to come in. We needed this time together to talk.” If she kept the content of their conversation for her, she nevertheless explained the last gesture of love that Tom Parker had for her: “He took off his wedding ring and put it on my finger. I think he knew then it was the end, but he still had his fight in him.“
After a few minutes, Tom Parker finally breathed his last, much to Kelsey’s chagrin, who remained with him, reassuring until the end: “When he died I closed my eyes and gave him a kiss and told him I loved him. I told him he was everything to me.“She also made him a promise for the children:”I would do anything to pass on to them what you taught me and what you wanted to teach them.“
It is now alone that Kelsey tries to move forward, with the support of loved ones and the many fans whose messages have warmed her heart.
