“I was the youngest married in France”: Patrick Sébastien looks back on his wedding at just 16 years old

Patrick Sébastien is not only the television host, showman on the sound boards Biggest cabaret in the world and singer in his spare time. Since he was thanked by France Télévisions, he fully savors this newfound freedom and seems delighted to no longer have to take television into account in his schedule. Except to visit his friend Cyril Hanouna, as he did on Monday May 2 on the set of Do not touch My TV.

By evoking the school and its trafficking of report cards (among other traffics with his little friends), Cyril Hanouna brought up several adolescent memories in the mind of Patrick Sébastien: “I had weird things at school, he said. I got married, I was in the first. (…) I was the youngest married in France at the time.“If getting married at 16 is anything surprising, he shared this union with a teacher at the time:”I got married the same day as my French teacher. We arrived on Monday saying : ‘How did your wedding night go? Yes me too, it was not bad.’

If this professor took the news of the marriage of young Patrick Sébastien rather well, this was not the case for all the others. The ex-host revealed that the teaching staff had not necessarily seen with a very good eye. Several people put obstacles in his way to prevent him from leading a normal education with his family life. Because after the wedding, Patrick Sébastien became a father for the first time of a boy named Sébastien – who disappeared at the age of 19 in a motorcycle accident.

In the early morning of Martine’s delivery, his wife at the time, Patrick Sébastien still went to school and he was not really greeted by a shower of congratulations: “When my wife gave birth, I arrived at school the next day. They tell me : ‘Have you done your homework? I said : ‘No because my wife gave birth last night’. They told me : ‘Well you will come to detention on Sunday’.” Patrick Sébastien hung on and ended up obtaining his baccalaureate by other means: “I passed it as a free candidate. They wanted to fire me because they did not accept that there was a married man in the establishment.” A memory he prefers to laugh about today!
