The continuation of cult movie “Top Gun“, with Tom Cruise, will be presented at the opening of the Cannes Film Festival. The first images unveiled are absolutely breathtaking.
36 years after the release of Top GunTom Cruise pulled out his pilot suit for the movie Top Gun: Maverickdirected by Joseph Kosinskywhich hits theaters on May 25. Tom Cruise returns to his iconic role as fighter pilot Pete Mitchellnicknamed “Maverick”. As in 1986, the film gives pride of place to action and great spectacle, with aerobatics carried out at 2,000 km/h.
As usual, Tom Cruise performs his stunts by taking control of his plane. In the cockpit, six cameras were installed to film the actor’s performance. “It’s physical, we can’t pretend to have a deformed face”explains Tom Cruise. If the actor Val Kilmer reprises her role, actress Kelly McGillis is however not present in this new film.
