Vianney is not one to keep his words to himself. Although he happily releases his own tracks to the public, and released his latest album let’s not wait in 2020, the young 31-year-old artist loves to write for his sisters and colleagues. We know that he had collaborated with Joyce Jonathan on the title Girls today in 2016, that he recently used his pen for the British Charlie Winston – like a hobo – and that he had shared the duo Because it’s you with his former protege from The Voice, Mentissa, for whom he created Well. Now he has taken under his wing one of the greatest voices in the French repertoire: Véronique Sanson.
What is certain is that we like to be together
On the airwaves of RTL, Vianney actually confirmed to Yves Calvi that he had just completed a project that was close to his heart with the interpreter of White Paradise. “We recorded things with Véronique Sanson, revealed the cellist’s companion Catherine Robert. But what is certain is that we love being together. She gives me a lot of strength, because of who she is and because of the relationship we have, which is close. There is a lot of tenderness between her and me.”
She has an approach to words, to the French language which is very interesting for me.
It will still take a little patience to discover the fruit of their musical union. While she was in concert for the opening of the Francofolies festival in La Rochelle, in July 2018, Véronique Sanson brought Vianney up on stage with her. These two don’t just share their crazy passion for musical notes, they also maintain a lovely friendship. “What touches me about Véro is that, it’s his writing, adds the young dad. She has an approach to words, to the French language, which is very interesting for me too. So for sure it matters in our relationship, of course.” Can’t wait for their next joint appearance on the boards…
