Discreet for a few years, the Canadian group Metric underlines its return by announcing the release of a new album and concerts in Quebec and Montreal.
Formenteratheir eighth album, will be released on July 8, a month before the start of a North American tour that will take them to the stages of the MTelus in Montreal and the Théâtre Capitole, in Quebec City, on August 29 and 30.
The song All Comes Crashingthe first extract from the new album, was put online on Thursday morning.
In a statement, singer Emily Haines explains the meaning of the song. “All Comes Crashing is a love song that goes beyond romanticism, it is an expression of solidarity with the person you would like to have by your side in the event of a disaster. It could be your best friend, your blood brother or your dog. The song is dedicated to those you consider family, no matter what that means to you.”
Tickets for the concert in Quebec will go on sale May 6 at 10 a.m.
