Goalkeeper Cayden Primeau has been transferred to the Laval Rocket, the Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday morning.

Primeau, who had been recalled by the Habs on April 24, acted as an auxiliary goaltender in the last two games behind Samuel Montembeault.
Primeau appeared in 12 games with the Canadiens this season, going 1-7-1, with a 4.62 goals-against average and a .868 save/save ratio.
The Rocket have an appointment with the Toronto Marlies on Thursday night, and the Laval residents are already guaranteed to participate in the American Hockey League playoffs.
The 22-year-old goaltender was traded to the Rocket on April 15 when Carey Price made his comeback in a 3-0 loss to the New York Islanders.
Price then went 0-4-0 with a 4.04 goals-against average and .853 save/save ratio.
The Habs announced earlier this week that the star goaltender would be traveling to New York to visit the doctor who operated on his knee last summer.
The CH is also supposed to provide an update on Price’s state of health in the coming days.
The Bleu-blanc-rouge will complete its 2021-22 season on Friday evening by hosting the Florida Panthers at the Bell Center.
