Another pillar of cinema and theater is gone. On April 13, Michel Bouquet died at the age of 96, after having shone on stage and on the big screen.

Her talent and ease have inspired many, such as the actress and comedian Muriel Robin, whose teacher Michel Bouquet was at the Conservatoire. It is therefore quite natural that the wife of Anne Le Nen has chosen to be present this Wednesday, April 27 on the esplanade of the Invalides for the national tribute that the State wanted to pay him to honor his memory. Chaired by Emmanuel Macron, the ceremony without a coffin – the actor was buried in Was-la-Sauvin on April 15th – brought together several great figures of comedy such as Pierre Arditi or Fabrice Luchini, whose speeches moved the assembly, but also Francis Huster, Kad Merad, Michel Boujenah, François Vincentelli, Mathilda May or Nicole Calfan…

Michel Bouquet died at the end of the morning in a Parisian hospital“: it is with these words revealed by AFP that the French learned of the disappearance of this sacred monument of comedy. A whole community was then orphaned. Tributes rained on social networks. Emmanuel Macron s was split with a message on Twitter: “For seven decades, Michel Bouquet brought theater and cinema to the highest degree of incandescence and truth, showing man in all his contradictions, with an intensity that burned the boards and burst the screen. A sacred monster has left us” To AFP, Alain Delon had also expressed all his sadness: “I am deeply sad. Michel Bouquet was a very great actor. We shot several films including Two Men in the City and Borsalino. The only thing I have left are great and beautiful memories.”
