Big harvest for Radio-Canada, which won five prizes at the New York Festivals Radio Awards on Tuesday evening.

Among the winners, the weekly program hosted by René Homier-Roy, Culture Club ; the musical evening The vigil of the Salebarbes ; and the radio theater Enoch Arden, based on a poetic recital by Tennyson, performed by Jacques Godin, between 2013 and 2020. Shortly before his death on October 26, 2020, Jacques Godin recorded the first part of the work. Last year, actor Luc Picard added his voice to the character to complete the unfinished recording. The radio theater won the silver medal in the Entertainment category: Best Dramatic Special.
We should also point out that the former colleague of The PressMichèle Ouimet, won Gold in the Podcast (story or documentary) category for her podcast leave or diea story about Afghan performers and their desire to flee their country and the Taliban regime.
Radio-Canada’s audio, radio and news service teams distinguished themselves in the eyes of the international community and a hundred finalists from 30 countries around the world. Radio-Canada emphasizes that this is the best of the best in radio, podcasts, audio books, sound art, news on the planet.
