His spokesman Vincent Marissal will question the Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, on Wednesday during the study of budgetary appropriations.

This is an annual exercise in which MPs scrutinize departmental spending and performance.

In a press briefing on Wednesday morning, Mr. Marissal recalled that the CAQ government had promised a family doctor for each Quebecer.

Today, there are more than a million waiting to be matched with a general practitioner, he argued.

The caquistes had pledged to reduce the waiting time in the emergency room; however, this waiting time “has never been so long”, according to Mr. Marissal.

In addition, the working conditions of nursing staff have “constantly deteriorated under this government”, he said.

“The reality is that this government is not delivering. They didn’t deliver, and it’s either the fault of others or the fault of the pandemic. »

Vincent Marissal accuses the Minister of Health and the Prime Minister, François Legault, of not taking their responsibilities.

He recalls the words spoken Tuesday by Mr. Legault, to the effect that the situation in the emergency room was after all “understandable”.

“Is the Prime Minister telling families who have a loved one on a stretcher in the emergency room sometimes for two, three, four, five days that they should understand?

“I not only don’t understand it, but I don’t accept it,” Marissal said.
