After years of waiting, the Minister of Culture, Nathalie Roy, is due to present her reform of the laws on the status of the artist on Wednesday morning. The text of the two laws in force which regulate the working conditions of artists date from the end of the 1980s.
According to information from To have to, Minister Roy notably provides for legislative amendments to improve the working conditions of writers. The reform of the status of the artist would also incorporate new provisions concerning harassment in the workplace, which currently only apply to employees, very few in this contract environment.
