On Tuesday April 26, plainclothes police intervened as traffickers unloaded their cargo of cocaine at the exit of the port of Le Havre in Seine-Maritime. Shots were fired.

An anti-drug operation took place on the morning of Tuesday April 26 in front of motorists, at the exit of the port of Le Havre (Seine Maritime). To 10:30 a.m.a blue truck broke down. Part of its cargo was cocaine. This is what traffickers tried to recover, on the road, when the police intervened. She followed them discreetly.

A first policeman came out, followed by two other officers. One of them clung to the door of the traffickers’ van and pulled on the wheels, in vain. The traffickers acted with extreme speed, a technique well known to drug trafficking specialists. Cocaine seizures have almost doubled in five years, reaching more than 18 tons in 2021. 70% traffic is carried out by sea. One person was arrested, but the other traffickers are still on the run, Tuesday evening April 26.
