No, it’s not a Republican front. Because in reality, many French people who have never voted for Marine Le Pen did so for the first time yesterday during this second round. And we can clearly see that everywhere around us, friends, members of our family, work colleagues are voting for Marine Le Pen because they really believe in it. They expect a lot from this change and therefore the situation has nothing to do with 2002 for example.
There is also strong abstention. It also means that this second round offer did not suit everyone, perhaps even less than usual for a presidential second round…
It also shows that this abstention penalizes first the National Rally and this, since many elections. And that will indeed be the issue of the third round, of the legislative elections. Because if the voters, the electorate of Marine Le Pen do not mobilize, then we have no chance of winning constituencies. Listen, I was invested by the nomination committee and by the president of our movement to be represented and wear the colors of Marine Le Pen in this constituency. I believe that today, Marine Le Pen achieved a very good score there. We need, the voters need to have a candidate who is less divisive, much more pragmatic, and if we don’t do that, we end up at 7% like Eric Zemmour and Gérard Dezempte.

Look, right now it’s not relevant at all. We are leaving for the moment with the colors of the National Rally, and of Marine Le Pen, who was placed in the lead in this constituency, with more than 50% of the votes.
Are there other constituencies in Isère where you have put a small flag, where it is possible for Marine Le Pen’s party?
I think we have a very good chance also on the seventh constituency. The tenth is also quite good for us, the 8th too. Nord Isère is always present to support the national rally and I am almost certain that we can win a constituency. Again, this is going to depend on participation. But it will be, I think, a big victory in a few weeks.
Let’s talk about the future of Marine Le Pen. Last night you tweeted “forever by his side” along with a photo. She will be a candidate in five years? She has a vocation, like her father, to be a candidate in all the elections?
I don’t know if she will be a candidate. In any case, I will make sure that it is as present as possible. And if she can be a candidate in five years, I will support her with all my might. Because we can tell all the stories we want: Marine Le Pen is the only one to have been able to gather 42% of the votes against Emmanuel Macron, no one else would have done it.
