Anne-Sophie Lapix forced to apologize live after a blunder

For several months now, the journalists of the news channels have been redoubling their efforts to animate debates between candidates, present programs linked to the campaigns but also special editions linked to the results of the election. And the exchanges were sometimes tense for some of them who had to face tough guests.

On the evening of the first round, Anne-Sophie Lapix had for example had a muscular exchange with Rachida Dati, to comment on France 2, the defeat of Valérie Pécresse.

This Sunday, April 24, 2022, on the occasion of the second round, the journalist was once again at the controls of the special edition and thus received several political figures on her set. Among the guests: former Prime Minister Manuel Valls who gave his opinion on Emmanuel Macron’s victory and the progress, despite the defeat, of the National Rally.

During the show, Anne-Sophie Lapix was forced to apologize to the 59-year-old politician. The latter had indeed wrongly associated with the Socialist Party. “We specify, and we apologize to our audience, I believe that under the name of Manuel Valls, it was written Socialist Party. So you have not been in the Socialist Party for a while now” corrected the reporter live. “For five years… Sorry for this mistake.” she insisted, turning to Manuel Valls who was obviously not affected by this blunder since he remained very smiling and very calm.
