Even if we generally all want to leave as old as possible, at one time or another in our existence, we think about death and what we would like for our funeral. This is the case, for example, of Alain Delon who wants to rest near his dogs on his Loiret estate. His colleague, actress Isabelle Carré, also imagined his funeral. Or at least one aspect of the ceremony…
Interviewed by the newspaper Release in its edition of Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April, to discuss her musical tastes, Isabelle Carré was asked about the music she would like us to play on the day of her funeral. Her answer was surprising since she obviously does not want big crying fits but rather joy. “Mary Poppins, Supercalifragilistic“, she answered bluntly! A festive, childish and cheerful choice which should contrast with the very serious side of the funeral. The actress, now 50 years old and who therefore logically has time to see come, is a genuine fan of the famous film starring Julie Andrews. When asked about her favorite musical or movie soundtrack, she answers again without hesitation: “Mary Poppins.“
On the news side, Isabelle Carré appeared last year at the cinema in the film Delicious but it is above all on the boards that she is active. Indeed, after playing in the play Biography: a gamesince last March she has been in The Lovers of the Commune at the Théâtre Antoine, in Paris, with Pierre Deladonchamps. This frenzy of projects on the boards is not without consequences, however. Asked by Marie Claire, on April 19, she thus evoked her sleep largely disturbed by her career as an actress. “When I play at the theatre, I go to sleep late and get up very early because I take my youngest to school. I have to cook from 7 am to prepare my children’s lunch boxes because they don’t have a canteen. I will sleep when I am very old!“, she said.
