As part of the Le Guide de l’auto program on QUB Radio, Antoine Joubert and Frédéric Mercier gave their impressions of the recently tested BMW iX and Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing.
For his part, Frédéric drove BMW’s new electric SUV: the iX. He says he found it more beautiful in real life than in photos. He was amazed by the technology on board with the curved screen as well as by the quality of finish.
He also mentions that this SUV packs a punch with its 516 horsepower. On the other hand, the vehicle is very heavy and it shows when driving. He underlines the particularly high invoice.
As for Antoine, he is adamant that the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is downright the last of its kind. It is entitled to a supercharged 6.2L V8 engine that develops 668 horsepower, the same engine as the Camaro ZL1 and the seventh-generation Corvette Z06. Everything is mated to a manual gearbox. An automatic transmission is also offered, but on a personal note, he prefers the manual.
He simply describes it as a rocket and a civilized muscle car. Antoine had the opportunity to test it on Californian wheels.
