They Call Me Magic launching Friday on Apple TV+
While the latest episodes of Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty will air over the next few weeks on Crave, a docuseries about one of the series’ main characters produced by Adam McKay will launch this Friday on Apple TV+. They Call Me Magicin French) is divided into four parts directed by Rick Famuyiwa (The Mandalorian, Dope). All aspects of the former Lakers star’s career will be covered: from his successful rookie year to his rise in the business world to his HIV diagnosis.

A year ago, Laurence-Anne launched Musivision, bewitching and dancing second album. Just returned from an overseas tour that took her to Paris and Marseille, SXSW in Austin and several North American cities – New York, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, Toronto, among others –, the singer-songwriter will celebrate this first anniversary in style on April 23 at the Phi Center in Montreal. A unique event, which will recreate the atmosphere of the album, with sets, costumes and arrangements designed expressly for this show, which promises to be as brilliant as it is original.

Montreal artist and printmaker Lucie Jolicœur Côté celebrates her 90th birthday this week, and an exhibition of her works from the past 20 years is underway at the A. Piroir studio-gallery until May 7. In love with the technique of etching, Mme Jolicoeur Côté is a member of the Atelier Cirque and the APRIM group. His works are part of several public and private collections.

Symphonic baby: when music makes you grow
How can music play a role in the development of babies? Place des Arts explores this question in Symphonic baby: when music makes you grow. In addition to presenting scientific facts, the exhibition includes 18 giant photos of infants and musical instruments. Interactive terminals also allow you to listen to the album symphonic baby and to discover the 83 photos taken by Annie Savard-Filion as part of this project which also includes a book, a magazine and an immersive show at the Planetarium. Symphonic baby: when music makes you grow is presented free of charge in the Place des Arts exhibition hall until August 14. In addition, a discussion on the same theme, moderated by Catherine Perrin, will be held on April 28, at noon, at the Salon urbain at Place des Arts and via webcast on Facebook.

Nuns, teachers and… scientists!
Science is not a domain reserved for men, neither today nor in the… XIXand century. In its new temporary exhibition Nuns, teachers and… scientists!, the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Historic Site tells how the Ursulines and the Congrégation de Notre-Dame set up innovative science teaching programs for female students, at a time when the education of women was little valued. Laboratory instruments, school work and scientific objects are part of this exhibition. Presented on April 28, it also retraces the winding path that led women to be able to study and work in science.
