Caroline de la vie de fer farm in Saône

Created in 1960, the history of this GAEC is part of the family tradition and 60 years later remains in this tradition with the family of Caroline and Romain who take over the reins of the farm. At first, it was a story of dairy production with 70 cows grazing on nearly 150 hectares to produce Morbier AOP, but the desire to diversify gradually developed.

Since 2019, the partners have opened a processing laboratory and a direct farm shop offering their dairy products such as milk, cream, butter, cottage cheese, cottage cheese, natural and fruit yoghurts as well as tomme cheese. These products are for example present in the canteen of the municipality of Saône through David, the chef who transforms them as he explains to you in this replay, and the children love them!

Direct sales are complemented by a brand new website which, in addition to the farm products produced at the la vie de fer farm, allows you to find a good range of neighboring producers. A different way of shopping by ordering online and using the drive service! You will have understood it, with Caroline and Romain we do not lack ideas to promote short circuits in the greater Besançon.
