After the snowfall that swept across Quebec on Tuesday, the weather promises to be variable for Wednesday with cloudiness, a few sunny spells and showers in places.
In southern Quebec, Environment Canada forecasts generally cloudy weather with alternating sun and clouds for the Montreal metropolitan area where temperatures will be stable with 8 degrees on the thermometer.
The winter storm of the day before will still leave traces in Beauce, Estrie and in the sectors a little further north with a few snow showers, while in Quebec intermittent rain mixed with snow is expected there.
In the eastern part of the province, several sectors will be affected by strong winds from the southwest with gusts of 70 km/h, particularly on the North Shore, while in the Bas-Saint-Laurent, a few showers before clearing in the afternoon.
Temperatures will be stable for most areas, possibly with a downward trend in the east and north of the province, such as Saguenay, where the mercury will not exceed 1 degree.
According to the forecasts of the federal agency, Thursday promises to be rainy with sometimes scattered showers for most of the southern and central sectors of the province, while the mercury will be slightly on the rise.
