At 21, Julia Sedefdjian has become the youngest starred chef in the Michelin Guide. Brut met her at his new Parisian restaurant, Baieta.
In 2016, she learned that she had become the youngest starred chef in France at just 21 years old.
“At 1 p.m., I have the owner of the restaurant who comes with a bouquet of flowers. He begins to kneel in front of me, he says to me: Yeah, I’m in front of the youngest starred chef in France.”, she recalls.
Today she is 27 years old and she owns her own restaurant in Paris.
Accompanied by a small team of 4 people, Julia Sedefdjian is at the head of the restaurant Baieta in Paris.
Wishing to pass on her passion to others and to train the youngest, Julia says about her title of youngest starred chef: “I’m waiting to be dethroned, now I want someone to take my place”.
