O’Poil de Pattoun is a dog brand. It’s about a range of pet care products launched by a graphic designer in La Grande-Motte. Balms and shampoo for animals. Interview with its creator, Céline Tchakrougian.
Céline Tchakrougian, you are launching your pre-order campaign for your animal care brand O’Poil de Pattoun. What can we buy for our animals with your brand?
You can buy skincare products made in France by a partner laboratory that manufactures the products by hand. You can buy solid shampoos, antiparasitics and protective and repairing balms. For the moment, on an online store. Little by little, I will solicit groomers, independent shops, veterinarians.
What is an animal balm?
It’s like a cream, but solid, which will help moisturize. It’s like for our lip balms, their pads they also need hydration. And suddenly, it will protect them. It will hydrate them. It will also repair if they have small cracks.
Shampoos, balms for all animals?
Yes, it’s for all animals: dogs, horses, cats and new pets.
How is it useful, precisely, to treat them?
Our animals, they can often hurt their legs. They may also have allergic reactions to other body care products, such as pest control. You should know that there are no regulations on this. Manufacturers can really introduce very controversial and very harmful substances into it. This is what can often create allergic problems. You can also wash them when you also go to groomers with these shampoos, either antiparasitic or mild. You don’t have to wash them too often either. It should be done once a month. This is the maximum recommended. It is very useful in everyday life, you have to take care of it.
Your solid shampoos, you sell them for 20 euros on your site. It’s twice the price of a shampoo that can be had in supermarkets. How do you explain this price difference?
The price on the campaign, there are shipping costs. That’s why it’s a little inflate the price. When they are on the market, they will be sold for around 15 euros. What also explains this price are the raw materials we use. We really use raw materials that come from France.
You were a graphic designer and you converted. What prompted you to launch this brand?
It’s really to have noticed a bad reaction on my animal. I have always been passionate about animals. I’ve always loved this environment and I really wanted to combine my passion with my core business to create this brand.
