Canada’s most coveted junior hockey player, Connor Bedard, continued to raise eyebrows on Sunday as he became the youngest 50-goal scorer in Western Hockey League (WHL) history.

The 16-year-old forward scored his 50th and 51st goals of the season in the final game of the Regina Pats’ campaign. Bedard also had three assists in a 7-4 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors.
He concludes his first full season in the WHL with 100 points in 62 games.
His exploits weren’t enough to lead the Pats into the playoffs, however, as they posted a 27-36-3 record, good for ninth in the Eastern Conference.
Bedard is already tipped as a top prospect for the 2023 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft.
