Paul Byron will not face the Washington Capitals on Saturday night at the Bell Center. According to Martin St-Louis, the veteran winger is simply “broken” and the team wants to manage his use at the end of the season.

Tyler Pitlick will take his place in the lineup.
The only other roster change from Friday’s game is of course in net, where Samuel Montembeault will replace Carey Price.
This means that St-Louis will go with the same sextet of defenders, thus remaining faithful to its philosophy of “accepting” the mistakes and misfortunes of its players. On Friday, with the score 0-0 in the third period, defenseman Corey Schueneman lost a puck in the offensive zone, which led to a 3-0 run for the Islanders, who scored.
St-Louis analyzed the sequence, and blamed neither Schueneman nor his teammates who did not secure his back even though he had advanced in the top of the slot. “It was the right game, the guys were in the right place, assured St-Louis. It was more bad luck than a bad game.”
St-Louis stressed that the player had “good intentions”, and that he therefore did not want to react negatively, in order not to “take away his confidence”. “Schueneman played a good game yesterday, he was just unlucky,” he added.
