The town of Pézenas, in Hérault, celebrates the centenary of the birth of Boby Lapointe, the facetious child of the country. If he has not had the same success as his friend Georges Brassens, his songs still inspire, even the youngest.

Bobby The point was born a century ago in Pézenas, in the Hérault. His melodies still resonate in the city. For his birthday, a concert was organized to pay tribute to the child of the country, who never lost his turbulent soul. There are many children now who sing Boby, who learn his songs and who begin to understand. (…) We discover as we listen to new puns, stories“, entrusts Tisha Lapointe, the daughter of Bobby The point.

High school students from Pézenas have taken over the heritage, by transforming songs into short films. To study Bobby The point means entering a funny, slightly schoolboy universe. Naima Karabakhhigh school film teacher Jean Moulin, explains having desired “translate [la] fancy in the way of putting in image [l]are songs“. In total, Bobby The point wrote fifty songs, still sung a hundred years after his death.
