Arm yourself with patience if you take the wheel. Easter weekend is expected to be the toughest of all spring break traffic-wise, according to Smart Bison’s forecast. The day of Saturday April 16 is thus classified orange at the national level and red in the Great West and the North.
Departures will be mainly in the morning and until the end of the afternoon. The traffic jams will be linked to departures and concentrated on the main axes towards Normandy and Brittany (A13, A11, N12, N157) and towards the Mediterranean (A7, A8, A9, A61). In Ile-de-France, traffic will be very dense from the start of the morning towards the toll gates of the A10 and A6 motorways. Traffic difficulties are also expected on the A13 motorway from mid-morning.
Sunday and Monday are graded green nationally in the direction of departures. In the return direction, Saturday and Sunday are rated green nationally. Monday is graded orange nationally.
