Opened in July 2020, Maison Lissajoux is the culmination of Jean and Nicolas Lissajoux’s childhood dreams. In their forties, they dare to embark on the adventure. Jean leaves his post of general manager and financial controller in the London catering sector, Nicolas leaves his post as fashion designer in a fashion house of the LVMH group. They decide to put their bags in the Périgord Noir in order to give birth to their project of a lifetime: an establishment that would combine gastronomy, craftsmanship and the French art of living. To do this, they did not hesitate to go back to school to obtain the diploma of the very famous Ecole Christian Vabret – Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
Maison Lissajoux opens its doors in the midst of a pandemic. A crazy bet but which takes root with a contemporary space that offers a variety of breads, small dishes, pastries and other cakes all made on site from natural sourdoughs, quality flour. A warm welcome because at Maison Lissajoux, we take the time to discuss and share good times with customers.
Today, Jean takes care of the bread making and finances, Nicolas prepares the pastries and develops the aesthetics of Maison Lissajoux.
The Lissajoux house also works with quality suppliers. You can, for example, taste the cheeses of At Pierrô. Inaugurated on August 9, 2020, the Pierre Besnier cheese dairy offers a wide range of cheeses and wines in a large 15th century vaulted cellar, integrated into the former Hôtel de Génis. A beautiful journey through history and flavors.
