After numerous cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the New York Auto Show returns to us this week with some new things to eat. Admittedly, the edition will not go down in history for its major launches, a sign of a disaffection of certain manufacturers for these events, but some will attract our attention.

Deus Vayanne
Do you know Deus Automobiles? Most likely not. The young Austrian manufacturer will launch its very first model on Wednesday in New York, designed with the help of coachbuilder Italdesign and the engineering division of the Williams Formula 1 team. Apart from a few images, nothing has a priori been revealed about this supercar which will only be powered by electricity. It should be based on a modular platform developed by the two partners. To discover.
Hyundai Palisade
Hyundai’s midsize SUV will get a partial makeover before hitting the scene in New York. We know very little about this Palisade, apart from the presence of diodes which cascade on the side part of the front bumper, a bit like Cadillac. The mechanical aspect should remain unchanged, while a 3.8 L V6 ensures the spirit in a rather competitive segment where its cousin, the Kia Telluride, evolves.
Lexus RZ
Undoubtedly the most awaited unveiling of this show, the Lexus RZ in final livery announces the arrival of Toyota’s luxury brand in all-electric. It should logically be built on the same chassis as the Toyota bZ4X, the parent company’s first electric model.
The buyer will obviously be entitled to a higher level of finish and… a rectangular Tesla-like steering wheel, if we judge by a photo provided by Lexus. We cannot rule out a power difference between the two models either, to ensure the higher hierarchical rank of the RZ.
Kia Telluride
Apart from the highly anticipated Niro which was presented a few months ago, Kia will unveil a redesigned Telluride to ensure its competitiveness. However, nothing should change on the mechanical level, the model retains the services of a 3.8 L V6 of 291 hp in opposition to the supercharged offer of many competitors. As a preview, a first image has been published showing a different treatment of the optics with vertical lines and a redesigned dashboard with a large screen that integrates the infotainment system and the measuring instruments.
