In Ukraine, the fighting continues, Tuesday, April 12, in the strategic port of Mariupol, besieged for more than 40 days. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fears chemical weapons have been used to attack the city.

The maze of factories is one of the last pockets of resistance of the Ukrainian forces, which have been defending the besieged city for more than 40 days. In eastern Ukraine, the Russian grip is tightening on Mariupol, a strategic port on the Sea of ​​Azov. On social networks, Ukrainian fighters have sounded the alarm: ammunition is running out, and the battle “will probably be the last”.

Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, called for weapons and warned of the threat of chemical weapons use by the Russians. “We take this very seriously”, he added. On the images broadcast on pro-Russian social networks, tanks marked with a “Z” are deployed in Mariupol. In the devastated streets of the city, the inhabitants do not hide their anguish. “We thought the worst thing was an air bomb, but actually the most terrifying thing is the tanks”says one of them, Yevheniya.
