If millions of French people were at the polls to vote in the first round of the 2022 presidential elections, the Prime Minister distinguished himself by making an express return trip by jet to vote in his constituency of Pyrénées-Orientales. He boarded a Falcon jet which took off from Villacoublay (Yvelines) to land in Perpignan at 8:30 a.m. to reach his polling station in Prades at 9 a.m. and take off again in stride at 10:30 a.m. A vote that has a certain cost because the flight would have cost France nearly 10,000 euros, according to estimates by CNews.
